San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants activated catcher Eli Whiteside from the seven-day disabled list Thursday. Whiteside was placed on the DL August 19 with a concussion. The 31-year-old was thrust into the starting role after Buster Posey's season- ending leg injury and has hit .221 with four homers and 16 RBI in 66 games this season.
