03/03/2007 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The San Antonio Spurs shoot for their eighth straight win when they open a four-game road trip this evening against the division-rival Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.

The Spurs posted a 98-74 victory over the Orlando Magic on Friday night in the finale of a three-game homestand at the AT&T Center. Manu Ginobili scored 25 of his 31 points in the second half and dished out five assists to lead San Antonio, which is third overall in the Western Conference.

Tim Duncan posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Michael Finley dropped in 12 points off the bench in the win.

San Antonio has won three in a row on the road and is 20-10 as the visitor this season. It will also visit the Clippers, Trail Blazers and Kings on the current road swing.

The Spurs are nine games off the lead in the Southwest standings, while Houston is 13 games off Dallas' monster lead in the division.

Houston ended a two-game losing streak with Friday's 108-97 victory over the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Tracy McGrady scored 28 points and dished out seven assists, and Dikembe Mutombo grabbed a season-high 22 rebounds to lead the Rockets.

The Rockets, who are fifth in the Western Conference, have lost two straight at home and are 20-9 at the Toyota Center this season.

Saturday's showdown between San Antonio and Houston is the fourth and final meeting of the regular season. The Rockets lead the season series, 2-1, and have won two straight after losing the previous seven encounters.

San Antonio has won 14 of the last 18 overall meetings and three straight at the Rockets.
