06/30/2010 - Edmonton, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday acquired defenseman Jim Vandermeer from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for forward Patrick O'Sullivan.

Vandermeer, 30, registered four goals and 12 points in 62 games with the Coyotes last season. He has 22 goals and 65 assists in 374 career games with Philadelphia, Chicago, Calgary and Phoenix.

O'Sullivan, 25, played in 73 games for Edmonton in 2009-10, recording 11 goals and 23 assists. He finished with a league-worst minus-35 rating.

The former second-round pick has 54 goals and 95 assists in 280 NHL games with the Kings and Oilers.
